Barcelona are planning to make a Summer transfer window swoop for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Blaugrana are on the look out for a long term replacement for ageing striker Luis Suarez and have identified Inter’s Lautaro as the man they wish to replace him with.

Lautaro has a €111 million release clause in his current Inter contract, a clause which is only valid for the first two weeks of July.

Whilst that clause would scare many clubs away, Barcelona are more than willing to cough up that amount of cash to sign the Argentine international.

There has been a lot of talk in the Italian media in recent months about Inter wanting to sign the 22-year-old to new terms and as part of a new deal, the release clause could perhaps be significantly increased or even removed entirely.
