Inter have accrued the third highest amount of fines in Serie A this season, a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera points out.

The Nerazzurri have been fined several times this season with the outburst at the end of the recent match with Cagliari being the biggest fine the club have received.

Fiorentina currently sit at the top of the Serie A fines table having been slapped with a €55,000 fine for their complaints about the refereeing in their recent match against Juventus. They have been fined a total of €109,500 this season.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that the money clubs are fined all goes into a big pot and at the end of the season, they are distributed to help many social initiatives across the country such as the building of new football pitches, supporting youth football, football for those with disabilities and campaigns like ‘UnRossoAllaViolenza’ which is a campaign against the abuse of women.
