Christian Eriksen is likely to be given his second consecutive start in this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.
The 27-year-old Danish international attacking midfielder joined Inter during the January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and Sunday’s match will be his third opportunity to show off what he is capable of.
The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handnaovic remains a doubt for the match against the Rossoneri.
The 35-year-old shot-stopper sustained a hairline fracture to one of his fingers in his left hand in training last Friday and although he is trying everything to be there, the likelihood is that he will miss out on the first of what will be nine games in 29 days for the Nerazzurri.
Daniele Padelli will therefore deputise for him once again.
