Kalidou Koulibaly will be back at the disposal of manager Gennaro Gattuso for Napoli’s upcoming Coppa Italia semi-final first leg with Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Senegalese centre back has missed the past few weeks of action due to injury but did make the bench for Napoli’s 4-2 victory over Sampdoria this past weekend.

As per the report, Koulibaly could well start this weekend’s match against Lecce and if this is the case, unless for any unforeseen circumstances, he will do the same when Napoli travel to Milan to take on Inter at San Siro on Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Serie A and in the world and his return will undoubtedly come as a welcome boost to Gattuso.

This season Koulibaly has made 20 appearances across all competitions for the Stadio San Paolo club, who he has played for since 2014.
