This Sunday’s Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan at San Siro will be a sell out according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The game has not sold out quite yet but a sell out can be considered a formality with around 300 tickets remaining for the match.

Inter have enjoyed unrivalled support this season with them having averaged 64,889 fans per Serie A match and they have also averaged 40,000 between their two Coppa Italia matches. Wednesday’s semi-final with Napoli has already exceeded the 50,000 tickets sold mark.

A total of 981,743 have attended all of Inter’s games this season, with four of those games having attendances in excess of 70,000, which is one more time than the Nerazzurri had that last season.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that the spike in attendance that Inter have had can be put down to two things, the Champions League and Antonio Conte.
