AC Milan centre back Mateo Musacchio has shared his thoughts ahead of tomorrow night’s Derby della Madonnina with Inter.

This will be the second Milan derby of the 2019/20 season and the teams come into this match separated by no less than 19 points in the Serie A table with Inter in second and AC Milan currently sitting in eighth place.

“I always work to win, if I score a goal it will be nice but the important thing is to have a good game. I have already played a couple of derbies and I understand that it is a different game to the rest,” he said in an interview with AC Milan’s official broadcaster Milan TV ahead of the game.

He concluded the interview by discussing how players must approach the match and what the Rossoneri want to do in the match against their Nerazzurri rivals.

“When the game comes, you must give your best and we will do that. We know we have great players just like Inter do. On the pitch it will be 11 against 11 and we want to win.”

The 29-year-old Argentine international, who has been with AC Milan since 2017, has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date this season and multiple reports in the media in the past few days have stated that he likely to start alongside Alessio Romagnoli at the heart of AC Milan’s defence.
