Inter coach Antonio Conte has decided to start Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez instead of deploying Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen behind Romelu Lukaku in tonight’s derby against AC Milan, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach set up the training session yesterday so Sanchez would be up front alongside Lukaku. Conte also deployed veteran defender Diego Godin instead of Italian defender Danilo D’Ambrosio in the back three. Italian wing back Antonio Candreva will start on the right side, with Victor Moses being an option on the bench.
Considering the physical condition of Sanchez, the report continues, Eriksen is likely to appear in the second half as a substitute, unless Conte decides to send in Italian teenager Sebastiano Esposito instead.
Probabile Inter Line-up (3-5-2): Daniele Padelli; Diego Godin, Stefan De Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Antonio Candreva, Matías Vecino, Marcelo Brozovic, Nicolo Barella, Ashley Young; Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez.
