Inter assistant manager Cristian Stellini will serve a one match ban after being sent off during Sunday night’s Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan, the Serie A sports judge has ruled.

Referee Fabio Maresca sent the 45-year-old off just over 10 minutes into the second half of the match at San Siro after he came out of the technical area and protested one of the decisions he made on the field with some blatant gestures.

Stellini, who came to the club as part of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s coaching staff this past Summer, is the latest to feel the wrath of the sporting judge who recently hit Lautaro Martinez with a two match ban after he was sent off against Cagliari in recent weeks.

The Argentine protested being booked, was booked again and shown a red card and was visibly angry and spoke aggressively to the referee in Spanish.

The 22-year-old striker will be back available for selection for tomorrow night’s Coppa Italia semi final first leg against Napoli.
