Inter medical staff will re-examine the condition of goalkeeper Samir Handanovic tomorrow according to a report from the online edition of Milan based newspaper Corriere della Sera.
Handanovic sustained a hairline fracture to the small finger in his left hand little over a week ago in training and has missed Inter’s past two matches as a result.
If tests confirm that the Slovenian international shot-stopper and club captain will be out for a while longer, Inter will sign Emiliano Viviano to a contract until the end of the season to provide some cover in the goalkeeping department.
The 34-year-old free agent has been training with the club for the past few days and has already underwent and passed a medical.
Viviano has represented six clubs in Serie A throughout his career including Bologna and most recently SPAL, who he was on loan to from Portuguese giants Sporting, who he left back in September.
