Inter have decided that they will not look to renew their shirt sponsorship agreement with long term sponsors Pirelli when the current contract runs out according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Pirelli have been Inter’s main shirt sponsors for the best part of two decades now and next season will be their last on the front of Inter’s shirts with the agreement to expire in the Summer of 2021.
As per the report, Pirelli’s current sponsorship is worth just €12 million, a significantly less amount than some other clubs with similar statures to Inter earn through their main shirt sponsorship deals.
Inter are looking to get between €25-30 million from a new sponsor and the report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that discussions are already underway with two prospective sponsors.
One of the potential sponsors is based in Asia whilst the other potential sponsor is understood to be based in the United States.
