Some of the special shirts worn by Inter players during this past weekend’s Derby della Madonnina have been auctioned off and raised in excess of €50,000 according to a report from Chinese news agency Xinhua.net.

The shirts featured a special patch which included a message of support to the people of Wuhan, China, where the Coronavirus broke out and the money raised is going towards the initiative Inter have set up to help out.

Milan Skriniar, Nicolò Barella, Christian Eriksen, Romelu Lukaku and Marcelo Brozovic’s shirts were all put up for auction through the Suning Tesco and PP Sports Channels and sold for a combined 414,405 Chinese yuan, which is approximately €55,000.

Nicolo Barella’s shirt was the shirt that sold for the most with his shirt going for no less than the equivalent of €14,000.

The report goes on to add that a total of 700,000 people participated in the auctions that have taken place in the days since the derby at San Siro, which Inter came from 2-0 down in to win 4-2.
