The match official appointments for this weekend’s Serie A action have now been confirmed by Lega Serie A with Gianluca Rocchi assigned to referee Inter’s top of the table clash away to Lazio.

The 46-year-old has already refereed 17 games across all competitions to date this term and this match will be the third time that he manages a match involving Inter and Lazio this season.

He was in charge for Inter’s match day seven and 19 matches at home to Juventus and at home to Atalanta, which Inter lost 2-1 and drew 1-1 in respectively.

He refereed Lazio’s season opener and their match day eight matches away to Sampdoria and at home to Atalanta, which Simone Inzaghi’s side won 3-0 and drew 3-3 in respectively.

In the games he has refereed so far this season, which also include a few games in the Champions League, Rocchi has brandished the yellow card 92 times and nine red cards.

Stefano Alassio and Alessandro Costanzo will be his assistants at the Stadio Olimpico and Fabrizio Pasqua will be the fourth official. Paolo Mazzoleni will be in charge of VAR and he will have Mauro Vivenzi alongside to assist him.
