Christian Eriksen could be handed his second start in an Inter shirt in this Sunday’s top of the table Serie A clash away to Lazio according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is considering the possibility of deploying the team in a 3-4-1-2 system at the Stadio Olimpico which would mean Eriksen could play in his preferred attacking midfield role in behind the two strikers.

The 27-year-old Danish international joined Inter in a deal worth €70 million overall, between the transfer fee and his wages for the duration of his contract, during the January transfer window and has featured in every game since his arrival.

Prior to his move he found his playing time reduced at Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur but he is getting close to full fitness and the levels that Conte and Inter fitness coach Antonio Pintus expect of the players in the squad.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that Eriksen is a player who can bring a great deal of quality and unpredictability to this Inter side that will help take them up another level.
