Argentina Coach Lionel Scaloni isn’t surprised Barcelona are interested in Lautaro Martinez but points out “he’s already at a great club”.

The striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 16 goals in all competitions so far.

One of those strikes came against Barça in the Champions League, and the Blaugrana have been consistently linked with a move for Martinez.

It was reported today that the price has been set at around €150m, though that could be lowered if the Spanish champions were willing to include Antoine Griezmann in the deal.

Argentina and Barcelona captain Lionel Messi is believed to be pushing for the 22-year-old to move to Camp Nou, and their national team Coach was asked about the possibility.

“It’s not for me to say if Barcelona want him,” Lionel Scaloni told AS.

“But after [Kylian] Mbappé, Lautaro is the player the whole world would want when you consider his age and his quality.

“He’s already at a great club though and it won’t be easy to take him away from Inter.”
