Inter are still in negotiations with the representatives of Tahith Chong over a potential free transfer in the Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Inter have met with the youngster’s representatives on several occasions and have tabled a long term contract that comes with a salary that will increase year on year.
Moreover, the club have made it clear to Chong’s people that they have clear ideas about how they can help him to grow and have suggested a loan move to Chinese sister club Jiangsu Suning or loan move to a club in Serie A that they have good relations with.
The report goes on to add that Inter remain in a battle with Napoli for the signature of Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla.
The 20-year-old Albanian international has emerged as one of the best defensive prospects this season and Inter could bring him in to take the place of Diego Godin in the squad with Godin seemingly destined to leave after just one season with the club.
Moreover, the Turin newspaper add that Inter like Fiorentina’s Gaetano Castrovilli. La Viola deem the promising central midfielder as indispensable but despite this, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will still try to sign him.
