Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is convinced that Inter new boy Christian Eriksen will be a starter at the Nerazzurri soon.

Eriksen joined Inter in a circa €20 million transfer deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur during the recent January transfer window although he has not played anywhere near as much as people expected him too.

The recently turned 28-year-old attacking midfielder has played in each of the five matches Inter have played since his arrival but he has started just one of those games and been on the pitch for just 137 minutes out of a possible 450 minutes.

“Eriksen is an excellent player and he will become a starter at Inter although speaking about starters in today’s football is very difficult,” he began interview with Rai Radio 1 show Radio Anch’io Lo Sport earlier on today.

Ancelotti, who took the reigns of the Merseyside club a few months ago, then went on to agree with Inter manager Antonio Conte that Eriksen, who joined Inter on a four and a half year deal, needs time to adapt to his new surroundings.

“There are many games to be played and as Conte rightly says,he needs time to adapt.”
