Inter central midfielder Matias Vecino has shared his views on his and his teammates respective performances in the 2-1 loss away to Lazio.

The Uruguayan national team player started and finished the match at the Stadio Olimpico which was a top of the table clash.

Inter struck first in the match through wing back Ashley Young who finished an excellent Inter counter just before half time but it proved to be the only goal Inter would score in the match in the Italian capital.

Ciro Immobile scored from the penalty spot soon after the restart to restore parity between the two sides before Sergej Milinkovic-Savic slotted home to put Lazio ahead and ultimately win them the game.

“We gave everything. Unfortunately, the small details were not on our side today. We know that in these high intensity matches great teams have to play with high tempo,” he told Inter’s official club broadcaster Inter TV after the match.

Vecino then went on to discuss Inter’s next match which sees them travel to Bulgaria to take on Ludogorets in the first leg of their Europa League last 32 tie on Thursday night.

“We are yet to see anything of our opponents because we have been preparing for this game. We know that all opponents in Europe are difficult but we will have to go to Bulgaria to win which will help us to qualify.”
