Inter would receive a total of €14 million in prize money if they are to go all the way and win this season’s edition of the Europa League, according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Having finished third in their Champions League group, Inter have dropped down to the Europa League and will begin their quest for glory in a few hours time when they play the first leg of their round of 32 tie with reigning Bulgarian champions Ludogorets.

If Inter progress past Ludogorets, they will pocket €500,000 in prize money. If they then progress past the round of 16, they will get a further €1.1 million.

Winning in quarter finals of the competition would mean a further €1.5 million in prize money and winning in the semi-finals is worth €2.4 million.

The final is worth €8.5 million in total. Inter would be given €4.5 million for reaching the final and would then get another €4 million if they are to win the competition for what would be the fourth time in club history.
