Paris Saint Germain coach Thomas Tuchel discussed the leaked video of Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi at his 27th birthday star, where there were multiple teammates including Edison Cavani and Angel Di Maria, when speaking to gathered reporters at a press conference. His words were reported by French media outlet Le Parisien.
“I was surprised by this video, really. But we talked about it internally and it has to stay there.”
The PSG fans are furious with Icardi and the other players of the club featured in the video, complaining that the players seem jovial despite the crushing 2-1 Champions League defeat to German underdogs Borussia Dortmund. Icardi is currently on loan at the French club from Inter, with his loan deal having a €70 million buy option attached.
Paris Saint Germain are unsure whether they want to enact the buy option or not, but should he return to Milan in the summer he would surely be sold by the Nerazzurri. Icardi has scored 19 goals and provided four assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for the Parisian club.
