Reigning Bulgarian champions Ludogorets have just released an official statement on their official club website confirming that their upcoming Europa League round of 32 fixture away to Inter is to be played behind closed doors.

There has been an outbreak of Coronavirus in Italy in the past few days which has caused great disruption, including to sporting events.

Inter’s match against Sampdoria this past weekend was one of four Serie A matches to be postponed by authorities as all possible measures are being taken to limit the spread of the virus, of which there are over 200 confirmed cases in Italy, with most of them being in the north of the country.

Neither Inter nor European football’s governing body UEFA have released statements on the matter at time of publication although in their statement Ludogorets do state it was UEFA who told them of the decision to play the game behind closed doors.
