KAA Gent have knocked back an offer from Portuguese giants FC Porto for attacking midfielder Jonathan David according to a report from Sky Sport Italia transfer market Gianluca Di Marzio.

The American-born Canadian international has been in sublime form this season and has attracted interest from a whole array of clubs.

Porto have had a €6 million offer for the 20-year-old rejected by the Belgian Pro League club who, as per the report, which appeared on Di Marzio’s self named website, are looking for between €18-20 million for the youngster, who has been on their books for two and a half years.

Inter, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United, Lyon and Everton have all also been linked with a move for him in another report.

This season David has made 37 appearances across all competitions. In just about 3000 minutes on the park, David has scored 22 goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.
