Tahith Chong is edging ever closer to joining Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The 20-year-old Dutch youth national team player is out of contract with Premier League club Manchester United at the end of the season and is expected to complete a free transfer to Inter this Summer on a long term contract, the report details.

Inter have fought off competition from a number of clubs for the signature of the promising attacker, including arch rivals Juventus.

The report goes on to state that upon his arrival at Inter, one of two things will happen with Chong. The Curacao born player, who is primarily a winger, could be integrated into Antonio Conte’s Inter first team or he could be loaned out to another club to help him adapt to Italian football.

Reports elsewhere have suggested that Hellas Verona and Sassuolo are potential loan destinations for Chong.
