Ludogorets manager Pavel Vrba has shared his thoughts and feelings on the way his side performed in last night’s 2-1 Europa League round of 32 loss away to Inter.

Vrba’s side had it all to do in this match as they came into it trailing 2-0 from the first leg and would surprisingly make the first blow in the match at San Siro as they took an unlikely lead through Cauly just before the half hour mark.

Ludogorets however did not manage to keep their lead for long as Cristiano Biraghi tied Inter level just minutes later with a goal that as good as killed the tie off. Just before the half time interval, Romelu Lukaku certainly put the tie to bed as he headed home to put Inter 2-1 ahead and 4-1 up on aggregate.

“We played a good match and created chances. There is some regrets over the mistake we made for Inter’s second goal though,” Vrba, who only took charge of the Bulgarian club at the beginning of this year, remarked in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

“In the second half we maintained a good level of performance but could not score. We were aggressive and pressed continuously.”
