Inter’s leading ultra group the Curva Nord have voiced their support for Inter president Steven Zhang following his attack on Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino.
Zhang, who is the youngest president in club history, took to social media platform Instagram late last night and utilised the Instagram stories feature to launch an attack against Dal Pino.
Zhang accused Dal Pino of not prioritising public health amid the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak and also personally insulted him by calling him a clown.
As a direct consequence of the virus being in Italy, a total of nine Serie A matches have been postponed in the past two weeks, including both of Inter’s matches.
Great confusion has been created by the entire situation and the way the Lega Serie A and FIGC have handled the situation has seen them heavily criticised.
“Finally a president who says things as they are,” a statement posted by Curva Nord on their Facebook page L’urlo della Nord begins.
“Hypocrisy more rampant than the virus and a servility towards the usual hypocrites who want to win at all costs has been served. Finally, even at the managerial level, words are heard that put business in the background and values at the centre.
“Hopefully it’s the right time for the world of Italian football to wake up and take it as an example. It cannot always be just a matter of winning at all costs or about revenues and profits.
“Honour to Zhang, proud of our President.”
