Il Sole 24 Ore journalist Marco Bellinazzo has shown his disappointment at the way Inter president Steven Zhang has decided to attack Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino.

Zhang launched an angry attack on Dal Pino via his official Instagram profile late last night and accused Dal Pino of not prioritising public health when trying to rearrange fixtures postponed as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus epidemic in Italy.

“The reaction of president Zhang is not acceptable. Period. At the same time it seems to me that Inter are the team most damaged by the decisions of the Lega and FIGC and this is equally unacceptable,” he wrote on Twitter.

Bellinazzo then shared his views on all the confusion that has been created by the postponement of nine Serie A games in the past two weeks and suggested what he thinks needs to be done for it to be solved.

Juventus versus Inter was among those nine fixtures but it is as yet unclear when that match will be played and Inter do of course have another postponed game needing rescheduled to in the shape of their home match against Sampdoria which was due to take place two weeks ago.

“To restore things, a unanimous decision by the clubs on a new calendar is needed. Personally I would have suspended and postponed the last two match days.

“From the next one, in agreement with Health Authorities, play games behind closed doors and reopen the stadiums as soon as conditions permit. The alternative to that is cancelling the entire season.”

In conclusion he reiterated: “I try to be as clear as possible; the president of Inter cannot call the president of the Serie A a clown.”
