Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso has been handed a boost ahead of their Coppa Italia semi final second leg match against Inter with Kalidou Koulibaly making a return to full training with the rest of the team, Napoli have confirmed.

The 28-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in Italy, has missed Napoli’s past four matches due to a thigh problem but he has now recovered fully and was back training with his teammates today ahead of Thursday night’s clash at the Stadio San Paolo.

Full back Kevin Malcuit joined Koulibaly in making a return to full training too having recovered from the ruptured cruciate ligament injury that he sustained back in October.

Napoli’s training report also states that Fernando Llorente and Amin Younes continued with gym work and did not take to the field with their teammates as they continue to work on recovery from their respective injury issues.
