Inter manager Antonio Conte will not change his system to accommodate Christian Eriksen according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The recently turned 28-year-old Danish national team midfielder joined the club in the recent January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur but has not performed to expectations.

Eriksen has not played anywhere near as much as expected due to the fact he is having difficult in adapting to his new surroundings.

Eriksen is primarily an attacking midfielder which means there is no natural position for him in Conte’s 3-5-2 system that he has almost exclusively used since taking charge of the club this past Summer.

Conte will not change his system for Eriksen and the report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to state that he could try and replicate with Eriksen what he did with Stefano Sensi at the start of the season where he had the Italian playing not as a central midfielder or attacking midfielder but somewhere in between that.
