Inter Owned Nainggolan Must Take Pay Cut If He Wants To Join Cagliari Permanently

Radja Nainggolan would have to agree to a pay cut if he wishes to stay with Cagliari past the end of this season according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The Belgian midfielder joined the Sardinian club on a season long loan from Inter this past Summer and he has managed to get his career back on track after a below expectations season with Inter.

Nainggolan currently earns €4.5 million a year at Inter but Cagliari cannot afford to pay that to him and for this reason he will need to agree to drop his wages.

The report states that Inter are looking for €19 million for the 31-year-old former Roma star and goes on to add that Inter and Cagliari could well perform a swap deal.

Inter reportedly have an interest in Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez and it is a possibility that the two clubs could perform a straight up swap.

This season Nainggolan has made 24 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored five goals and provided six assists.
