Samir Handanovic will remain Inter’s number one goalkeeper next season and probably the season after that too with Inter ready to give him a one year contract extension according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper has been virtually ever present for the club since his arrival from Udinese back in 2012 having made no less than 324 appearances across all competitions.

He is current under contract until the end of next season and as per this report, Inter are looking to tie him down for a further season.

With Handanovic not getting any younger, the club are currently on the lookout for a goalkeeper who can initially act as his deputy and then takeover from him.

Ionut Andrei Radu seems an obvious choice given he is already on the club’s books but if Inter decide to loan him out again, they could go in for Udinese’s Juan Musso.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to conclude that if Daniele Padelli is to renew his contract, he will become the third choice goalkeeper at the club over Tomasso Berni, who, as per other reports in the media, has been offered a coaching position in the Inter youth academy.
