European football’s governing body UEFA are to meet tomorrow to hold further discussions over the way forward for football during this crisis period according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

UEFA met with their member federations and league boards among many other people almost a week ago to hold initial talks and during this meeting a commitment was made by leagues to finish their campaigns by June 30 at the latest.

As per this report, UEFA could cut down on the remaining Champions League and Europa League matches and get rid of the upcoming international break to help leagues to finish.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Serie A could start back up again on either May 2 or 3 with the majority of the rest of the season played out that month.

If Serie A cannot restart until May 9 or 10 or as late as May 16 or 17, things will become very complicated and the domestic season would almost certainly have to carry on past June 30.
