Lega Serie A think the season could resume at the beginning of June according to a report in today’s print edition of Rome based newspaper La Repubblica.

The Italian football federation (FIGC), namely through president Gabriele Gravina, have put a number of potential dates for the season to resume during the month of May out there with the most recent suggestions including the resumption of the season starting on Wednesday May 20.

Serie A bosses instead have a differing view and believe it will not be until the following month when the season could resume, if it is even possible given the currently unprecedented circumstances.

There is also understood to be a divide amongst clubs with regards to what they wish to see. Some clubs are understood to be keen to see the season resume whilst others do not think the season will resume and are already thinking about next season.
