Tottenham Hotspur have cooled their interest in signing Inter centre back Diego Godin according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Premier League club have been strongly linked with a move for the experienced Uruguayan international in both English and Italian media as of late but as per this report, they have relinquished their interest in signing him in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

Whilst Spurs appear to now be out of the race to sign him, another Premier League club remain very much in the race to sign him and that is Manchester United, who are looking to add experience to their backline.

The 34-year-old only joined Inter this past Summer on a free transfer but has shown visible signs of struggle, particularly when it comes to trying to adapt to Inter manager Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system which has led to media speculation that he could leave.
