Inter management have identified several players that they could potentially pursue moves for in the coming months when it comes to the left and right wing back positions according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri club are keen to bolster their wing back department and have identified at least five players who could come in and help out Antonio Candreva, Ashley Young and Danilo D’Ambrosio, who are the only three current wing backs certain of a place in Antonio Conte’s Inter squad next season.
Inter have long shown an interest in signing Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa, who, although primarily a winger, would be deployed as a wing back.
Inter also like Barcelona’s Nelson Semedo for the right hand side and it is possible that they could acquire the Portuguese international in negotiations with Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez. This could also be the case with Junior Firpo.
Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo is also understood to be on Inter’s shortlist. The Portuguese defender previously had a loan spell with the club but Inter were unable to buy him on a permanent basis at the time.
As for left wing back, Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso are on the Nerazzurri’s radar as is Paris Saint Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa, who could be acquired on a free transfer.
