Serie A could be set for a return on 27th May, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the clubs may look to return to training on 4th May, the date indicated by Italian Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora. FIGC president Gabriele Gravina is in contact with the Minister, trying to obtain a waiver so that the clubs can recall their players a week earlier in order to carry out the necessary medical examinations.
A presumed restart date is the 27th May, the report continues, although it is necessary to fully check that all the facilitates are safe and have the proper precautions in place. Some clubs will be able to use their sporting centres, although it depends on the size of the facilities. The games from the 25th match day could be played on 27th May, allowing for a full restart on 31st May. Some clubs, like Atalanta and Brescia, may be forced to play their home games elsewhere.
