Inter are in talks with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud over a possible free transfer in the coming months according to a report from British news outlet The Daily Mail.

Giroud’s contract with his current employers is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and Inter are in talks with him over a two year deal worth £4 million a season (approximately €4.5 million).

Inter tried to sign Giroud in the most recent January transfer window and had terms agreed both with Chelsea and the player himself but the Blues pulled the plug on the deal late on when they could not find a suitable replacement for him.

Despite the deal collapsing, Inter have maintained their interest and Giroud has also maintained his interest in a move to Inter with him keen to work under Inter manager Antonio Conte again.

This season the 2018 World Cup winner has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals.
