Premier League duo Manchester United or Tottenham Hotspur are the most likely clubs to sign Inter defender Diego Godin according to a report from Italian newspaper Tuttosport.

Godin joined Inter this past Summer on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract with Atletico Madrid to much excitement but the highly experienced Uruguayan centre back has struggled and could well leave the Nerazzurri in the coming months.

The 34-year-old has especially struggled to adapt to Inter manager Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system and has also recently lost his place in the team to 21-year-old Alessandro Bastoni.

The report states that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on him as he looks to improve the Red Devils back line whilst Spurs are looking at him as a potential replacement for Jan Vertonghen, who could leave the club.

This season Godin has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date in which he has contributed a single assist.
