Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Paris Saint Germain defender Thomas Meunier according to a report from British news outlet The Sun.

Meunier’s contract with his current employer is due to expire in a matter of months and he appears set to leave the Parc des Princes club for a new challenge after four years in the French capital.

As things stand, Spurs appear to be in pole position to land the Belgian national team full back but they are far from alone in being interested in signing him.

The report goes on to state that they face competition from both Borussia Dortmund and Inter for the 28-year-old, who recently shared his desire to stay with PSG.

This season Meunier has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2100 minutes on the field in total, the former Club Brugge player has scored one goal and provided two assists for teammates.
