European football’s governing body UEFA are continuing to seek a solution for how both the Champions League and Europa League can be concluded according to a report from British news outlet The Daily Express.
Both competitions were brought to a halt alongside the rest of football last month due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and UEFA are seemingly desperate to find a solution that will allow both competitions to be completed.
One solution that they have come up with is playing out all the remaining fixtures in both competitions over a three week period in August but in order for this to be possible, domestic campaigns must be finished.
The report goes on to warn that a tight turnaround will however be required if this is the solution that UEFA go for to cause as little disruption to next season as possible.
This solution aside, other reports in the media have suggested the possibility of all matches from the quarter or semi finals being played in a single city.
