Transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has accepted a bumper contract offer from Barcelona.
Lautaro has been heavily linked with a Summer switch to the Blaugrana club and Pedulla has confirmed in an interview with Italian broadcaster SportItalia that the 22-year-old has already agreed terms with his prospective new employers.
Pedulla also states that Inter are reluctant to let highly rated Argentine national team forward to depart the club due to not wanting to appear weak.
“The Nerazzurri club cannot lose him from a technical or image point of view. Lautaro has already accepted the offer of over €10 million net per season from Barcelona, who have asked him for clarity on his future,” Pedulla began.
“Makeweights in a deal? Inter like Arturo Vidal but Inter think it would be a sign of weakness if they were to accept an offer from an image point of view.
“Lautaro must not post photos on social networks with the Inter shirt and clarify once and for all his intentions in relation to his future.”
Barcelona aside, Lautaro has also been heavily linked with a move to reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.
The former Racing Club player is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and has a €111 million release clause in his current contract, which can only be activated by clubs outside of Italy during the first two weeks in July.
This season he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
