Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to reveal that he is to donate one of his shirts for an auction that will raise funds to help families in Naples affected by Coronavirus.
D’Ambrosio’s shirt is to be auctioned off by the Fondazione Cannavaro Ferrara, a foundation set-up by former footballers Fabio and Paolo Cannavaro and Ciro Ferrara.
This season D’Ambrosio has made 18 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored a single goal.
He posted: “I accepted the invitation of friends Ciro Ferrara, Fabio and Paolo Cannavaro, and I will donate a shirt to which I am very attached to the charity auction organised by their foundation. The goal is to help the most needy families and the weaker sections of the population of our territory, who today are in great difficulty due to the damage caused by the coronavirus.”
