Stefano Sensi could be an important player for Inter if the 2019/20 season is to resume according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 24-year-old joined the club this past Summer on a season long loan with option to buy from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo and got life at the Nerazzurri off to a fantastic start.

However, since sustaining an injury against Juventus in the first Derby D’Italia of the season at the start of October, he has only appeared sporadically due to a number of injury issues.

He has now recovered from his injury problems and if the season does resume he could be important for Inter manager Antonio Conte who could then alternate between him and January transfer window recruit Christian Eriksen.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that Alexis Sanchez could also be a big player for Inter if the season starts back-up. The on-loan Manchester United forward’s experience in big games could help and he could come in for either of Lautaro Martinez or Romelu Lukaku when required.
