Ashley Young is set to sign a one year contract extension with Inter according to a report from British news outlet The Guardian.

The 34-year-old Englishman joined the Nerazzurri for a nominal fee back in the most recent January transfer window from Manchester United and signed an initial six month deal with the club with there being an option for a further year.

This option is set to be taken up with Young to be rewarded by Inter for the fine performances he has put in since his arrival in Milan after almost a decade with Manchester United.

Young, who has also played for Watford and Aston Villa during his career, has only made seven appearances across all competitions for Inter but has made a real impression on those in charge at the club. In 549 minutes on the field, Young has scored one goal and tallied a single assist for his teammates.
