Marcelo Brozovic could be sold by Inter to raise the funds to sign Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Croatian midfielder has become an integral part of the Inter team in recent seasons and has a €60 million release clause in his current deal, which, if triggered, would give Inter the funds to invest in Tonali, who Brescia president Massimo Cellino is said to value at no less than €50 million.

Several reports in the UK claim that Premier League giants Liverpool are hot on the trails of the Croatian international with Italian reports claiming Inter will only let him leave if his €60 million release fee clause is activated

The report does however go on to state that due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and the financial damage it has caused to football, Tonali may be able to be signed for €30 million plus a player(s) which would take the total value of the deal to between €40-45 million.

Inter face competition from Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United for teen sensation Tonali, who has scored one goal and provided five assists in 24 appearances across all competitions to date this term.
