Inter and Fiorentina are both battling it out to sign Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Hellas Verona are hopeful of a bidding war being created for the signature of the 20-year-old centre back, who they value at upwards of €20 million.

The Italian born Albanian national team player has emerged as one of the brightest prospects in Italian football this season as part of a Gialloblu side who have shocked many with their performances upon their first season back in the top flight.

Kumbulla is a product of Hellas Verona’s youth academy and has a contract with the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

This season Kumbulla, who has also been linked with a move to Napoli in recent months, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1600 minutes on the field, he has contributed a single goal.
