European football’s governing body UEFA met with member federations today to present various calendar options for the 2019/20 season to resume with them providing what happened in the meeting in an official statement on their website.
The calendar options presented to the 55 member federations via video conference call concerned both club and international football in Europe.
UEFA made a strong recommendation to their member federations to resume and conclude their seasons which have been on hold for around a month due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.
They told member federations that they would listen to special cases once the guidelines relating to qualification for European competitions have been decided upon in the event that leagues have to be cancelled.
The UEFA executive committee are due to meet in two days time with them set to meet to discuss the latest developments concerning the impact of Coronavirus on football across the continent.
UEFA also reiterated their commitment to meeting payments due to member federations as planned too.
