Keita Balde: “Playing For Inter Was A Lifelong Dream Of Mine”

In an Instagram Live chat with Italian social media influencer Luca Macellari Palmieri, former Inter player Keita Balde has spoken on how much it meant to him to be able to pull on the Nerazzurri jersey as a player.

The Spanish born Senegalese national team winger spent the duration of last season on loan at Inter from French outfit AS Monaco and he made 29 appearances across all competitions for the club.

In just over 1000 minutes in total on the field, Keita, who is now back at AS Monaco, contributed five goals and provided two assists for his Inter teammates.

“I joined Inter on loan with an option to buy last year and playing there was a lifelong dream of mine. Inter are a club that I have liked since I was a child. I have always admired the team and many of the former players,” he explained in the chat which took place earlier on this evening.

He then went on to reveal that two former Inter players were among players that he used to look up to when he was growing up.

“When I was a child I looked up to Cristiano Ronaldo, Samuel Eto’o and Il Fenomeno Ronaldo. They were all points of reference for me.”

This season the 25-year-old has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 26 games across all competitions to date.
