Tottenham Hotspur’s Jan Vertonghen is one of a trio of players that Inter have identified as a potential replacement for Diego Godin according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
For a few weeks now reports have stated that Godin could leave Inter after just a season with the club with him having struggled to adapt, especially to Inter manager Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system.
The experienced Uruguayan defender has drawn links to Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in particular and if he goes Inter will not be found unprepared.
Aside from having Vertonghen, who could be signed on a free transfer, as an option, Inter have also identified highly rated Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla as someone they could bring in.
The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to add that the other player on Inter’s radar is Torino and Italy defender Armando Izzo, who has been offered to Inter by his agent Mino Raiola.
