It is unlikely that Barcelona will meet Inter’s demands for Lautaro Martinez or pay his release clause according to a report from Spanish news outlet AS.

In the past few days Inter set out their demands for the 22-year-old striker and the demands consist of €90 million plus Arturo Vidal on a permanent basis and Antoine Griezmann on loan for the season or his €111 million release clause is paid.

Barcelona are unlikely to meet the demands not only because it would take a significant financial outlay but also because some of the club’s management have serious doubts over how much the Argentine is truly worth.

The report from the Spanish news outlet goes on to state that if Lautaro does indeed leave Inter, the Nerazzurri club have set their sights on bringing in RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner to replace him.

The 24-year-old German has a €60 million release clause and has also been linked with a move to Premier League club Liverpool.
