Inter and AC Milan have unveiled two new concept designs as part of their plans to build a new state of the art stadium.

The Populous and Manica/Sportium architecture groups have provided the two new clubs with updated designs which the clubs have submitted to the Milan city council as part of a preparatory document for the feasibility project for the creation of a new world-class stadium and a Sports and Entertainment District in the San Siro area.

As part of the new plans, parts of the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri’s current San Siro stadium will remain and be incorporated into the project which will contain almost twice as much green space as the current stadium has.

The clubs have confirmed that the area, which will include the stadium, will be dedicated to retail, sports, cultural and leisure activities both outdoors and indoors with most of the sports related activities going to be free to the public to enjoy.

They also confirmed that there will be an investment totalling in excess of €1 billion into the project which will create thousands of jobs.
