Ionut Andrei Radu’s agent Oscar Damiani has admitted to being unsure regarding whether his client will become Inter number one Samir Handanovic’s back up starting from next season.
In recent weeks and months reports have stated that Inter are looking to find a goalkeeper who will initially serve as back up to Handanovic before eventually taking over from him and becoming the club’s first choice shot-stopper.
Inter have drawn links to a number of goalkeepers such as Udinese’s Juan Musso, Parma’s Luigi Sepe and Sporting’s Luis Maximiano but many reports have suggested that Inter could promote from within and use Radu as Handanovic’s back up.
“I don’t know if he will be the vice-Handanovic. Andrei is a great goalkeeper, he has always wanted to return to Inter. It could be an opportunity,” Damiani remarked in an interview with Italian radio station TMW Radio.
Romanian international Radu spent the first half of the season out on loan at Genoa but was rather harshly dropped. Inter subsequently recalled him and loaned him out to Parma but he is yet to appear for them.
